How has your experiences helped you prepare for this position and how will the SOCA community benefit from you serving in this capacity?
I have held the position in the executive time starting from the Fall ‘23 semester until date and hence have experience with it. I have also had the privilege to take on more responsibilities in SOCA which has enabled me to mature in the team.
If you get elected, what are your plans for each semester and how are you committed to executing those plans in the position you are most interested in? What is your level of commitment to execute on those plans and do you have the time required?
Though more FIC students have started to feel like part of SOCA, I plan to continue to reach out to the community there and remind them that they have a community and a home in soca and that they are welcome there.
To execute said plan, tabling in FIC is one thing that plan to start doing in the building. More often than not you find out that the African and Caribbean community there isn’t even aware of a group called SOCA. Making our presence known to them is something that I plan to execute and execute well.
